There are a number of positions and potential employment opportunities that have licensing and certification restrictions for convicted felons and misdemeanants in Texas. To assist offenders in determining whether or not they may be eligible to retain or receive a license or certification for a particular profession, the following table is provided; however, the offender should always check with the licensing or certifying authority for any changes or updates:
Public Accountant
Felony: Cannot if convicted of an offense which results in incarceration or revocation of probation, parole or mandatory supervision. May not if the conviction directly relates to the practice of public accounting.
